A match that travels through 100 years. Kobe Match, parent company of Hibi Incense Matches, began as a wooden match factory in 1929 in Himeji, Japan. Since then they have been producing high quality wooden matches used all over the world. In an era of technology, life’s simple pleasure of striking a match on a delightfully designed match box sparks a joy that we can all appreciate.

Each match box displays a different design, from black cats to motorcycles, designed by renowned Japanese design house Trunk Design Studio, based in Tarumi, Japan.

These matches are designed to strike only on the box strike pad.
